Aircall is a cloud based telephony system for businesses.

In a hyper growth context and reporting directly to the CPO,  I lead a team of 9 designers and was responsible for the overall quality of the user experience.

Admin DashboardLead designer: Binglu GuThe admin dashboard allows managers to setup their phone system and manage their team's performance.
A complete front-end rewrite was necessary in order to fix performance and scalability issues. We took this opportunity to make the dashboard compliant with our design system and to bring key usability improvements. 

Back-office
Lead designer: Felipe GandaraTo improve the productivity of our own teams (onboarding, support, CSM) Aircall invested in redesigning entirely our internal back-office. 
Based on user feedback and co-creation sessions, Felipe designed a brand new information architecture, a new navigation, a new layout system and a unified search experience. 


Tractor Design SystemLead designer: Richard RobertsAircall design system - Tractor - existed for our phone app only. When we decided to transpose Tractor to our web apps (Admin dashboard and back office), the whole team contributing to expanding and scaling our design system: grids, banners, tables, filters, steppers, etc.

Roadmap and staffing
Plan for roadmap, allocation and staffing in accordance with the business priorities and the budget.

Process and methodology
‍‍‍
Define a process and a toolset used by the design team to work efficiently and collaboratively (within the design team and with other disciplines). Set clear outcomes expectations for the research, framing and delivery phases.

People management
Coach, motivate and develop the performance of my reports through co-evaluation of their skillset, personalized objectives and weekly follow up. 

Scaling the team
Hiring and team management: scaled the team from 4 to 10 designers, organized a new team structure and revamped the onboarding process.

Design principles
‍‍
Collaboratively defined design principles the team should follow while designing experiences and interfaces for Aircall users.

Designer career path
Developed a career path for designers (for IC and managers), working closely with HR, product leadership and the design leads. 

User personas
Leveraging internal knowledge through a series of workshops, I created a set of proto-personas to help the product and design team align on a definition of who our users are.
